

Charles R. Wilbanks, Jr. is a native of Corinth, Mississippi. He received his B.S. Degree from Mississippi College in 1984. While at Mississippi College, Chip served as President of Mortar Board, Treasurer of Omicron Delta Kappa andPresident of Delta Sigma Pi. Chip received a number of honors at Mississippi College, including being inducted into Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities and the Mississippi College Hall of Fame. He received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1986, where he was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.
Chip concentrates his practice in general litigation, including the areas of construction litigation, silica litigation, masstort litigation, commercial litigation, insurance defense, products liability, real estate litigation, medical litigation, premises liability, landlord/tenant law, and real estate and property litigation. Chip is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar and the Hinds County Bar Association. He has been very active in the bar associations, being a member of and chairing a number of committees. Chip is Past President of the Mississippi Bar Young Lawyers Division. He also served as Second Vice President of the Mississippi Bar and served on the Board of Bar Commissioners and on the Mississippi Bar Foundation. Chip is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Young Lawyers.
Chip is a 1989 graduate of Leadership Mississippi and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Leigh's Disease Foundation. He has also served as a President of the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Children's Legal Clinic. He is a member of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce. Chip has served on the Mississippi College School of Business Alumni Advisory Board and the Mississippi College Child Advocacy Program Advisory Board. He is presently serving on the Board of Directors for Brillo Soccer Ministry. Chip was named Mississippi's Outstanding Young Lawyer for 2000.
Chip is married to Alicia Smith Wilbanks and they have three daughters: Allyce, Annaclaire, and Abigail. Chip and his family are active members of First Baptist Church of Jackson.
